1) Turn off the power to the computers and printer
2) Connect the desired LPT ports of the computers to ports A and B on the ST201P, or ports A, B, D, and E on the ST401P, using DB25 Male to Male straight through cables such as Startech SC10MM
3) Connect the Centronics port of the printer to port C on the switch using a Parallel printer cable such as a Startech PMC10
4) Turn on the power to the computers and printer

Note: If you are experiencing trouble printing from Windows, try sending the output through LPT1.DOS in the Connect settings of the Control Panel Printers configuration utility

ST250P
2 Computers to 1 Printer Installation
1) Turn off the power to the computers and printer 2) Connect the desired LPT ports of the computers to ports A and B on the ST250P using a DB25 Male to Male straight through cables such as a SC10MM 3) Connect the Centronics port of the printer to port C on the switch using a Parallel printer cable such as a Startech PMC10
4) Set the Left slide switch to AUTO and the right slide switch to FD for end of job formfeed disable or FE for end of job formfeed enable
4) Turn on the power to the computers and printer

1 Computer to 2 Printers Installation
1) Turn off the power to the computer and printers
2) Connect the desired LPT port of the computer to port C on the switch using a DB25 Male to Male straight through cable such as a Startech SC10MM
3) Connect the Centronics ports of the printers to ports A and B on switch using Parallel printer cables such as a Startech PMC10 4) Set the Left slide switch to AUTO and the right slide switch to 1>2 5) Turn on the power to the computer and printers
6) To install the DOS printer selection software, inset the diskette
into your disk drive and change to it. Type CD AS <ENTER> 7) Type EDIT READ.ME for further instructions. The 3 different files are for 3 different printer selection hot-key combinations. To print the READ.ME file to Port A type COPY READ.ME LPT1
8) To install the Windows software, insert the diskette into your disk drive and change to it. Type CD WIN <ENTER>
9) Type INST WIN <PATH> substituting <PATH> with the drive and path of your Windows directory

ST450P
4 Computers to 1 Printer Installation
1) Turn off the power to the computers and printer 2) Connect the desired LPT ports of the computers to ports A, B, D, and E on the ST450P using DB25 Male to Male straight through cables such as Startech SC10MM
3) Connect the Centronics port of the printer to port C on the switch using a Parallel printer cable such as a Startech PMC10
4) Set the DIP switches on the switch to the desired mode and time out. We recommend form feed disable and a 10 second timeout. (OFF,OFF,ON,OFF) 4) Turn on the power to the computers and printer

1 Computer to 4 Printers Installation
1) Turn off the power to the computer and printers
2) Connect the desired LPT port of the computer to port C on the switch using a DB25 Male to Male straight through cable such as a Startech SC10MM
3) Connect the Centronics ports of the printers to ports A, B, D, and E on the switch using Parallel printer cables such as a PMC10 4) Set DIP switches 1 and 2 to the ON position to enable 1>4 mode 5) Turn on the power to the computer and printers
6) To install the DOS printer selection software, inset the diskette into your disk drive and change to it. Type INST C:
7) Type EDIT READ.ME for further instructions. To print the 154 READ.ME file make sure Port A is attached to an ASCII capable printer and type: COPY 154_READ.ME LPT1
8) To install the Windows software, insert the diskette into your disk drive and change to it.
9) Type INST WIN <PATH> substituting <PATH> with the drive and path of your Windows directory
