    Clean the fingerprint prism gently using a microfiber cloth or cellophane tape (for silicon-coated prisms). Do not use liquids, abrasive solutions, or household cleaners as they can damage the sensor.

  • How do I activate my FingerTec terminal?

    Every FingerTec terminal comes bundled with a unique license key. To start using it, connect the terminal to the TCMS V3 or Ingress software and perform online activation. For offline activation, email your serial number to support@fingertec.com.

  • What does it mean when the FingerTec terminal says 'Admin Affirm'?

    This voice prompt means that you are not registered as a system administrator and therefore cannot access the device's main menu or configuration settings. Only an administrator can bypass this lock.

  • How do I reset a FingerTec m-Kadex terminal to factory settings?

    If you have an Administrator card, wave it 5 times when the Green LED blinks, wait for the beep and red LED, then wave it once more. If you do not have the card, detach the terminal, release the security tamper button, wait 35 seconds, then push and release the button 3 times.
