Base Recline Positions
The car seat offers five total base adjusting positions. Positions 1-3 are for rear-facing use, and positions 4-5 are for forward-facing use. To adjust the recline, locate the recline handle just below the tension adjuster. Lift the handle to release and rotate the car seat into your desired position.

Recline Foot
For additional recline in rear-facing mode, the car seat offers a recline foot. To use it, simply press the blue release handle located under the car seat and flip the recline foot open. To store, press the blue release handle and flip the foot back in.

LATCH Lower Anchor J-Hook Positions
The LATCH lower anchor J-hooks have storage locations behind the car seat and under the cup holders when not in use. The LATCH system has a weight limit of 65 lbs (child's weight + car seat weight). Do not use LATCH for a child weighing more than 45 lbs.
For rear-facing mode, unclip the left lower J-hook from its storage and pull it out from the forward-facing belt path. Feed it through the rear-facing belt path and out the other side, storing it in the optional storage under the cup holder. Repeat for the right lower J-hook.
For forward-facing mode, unclip the left lower J-hook from its storage and feed it through the forward-facing belt path and out the other side, storing it in the upper storage loop next to the top tether. Repeat for the right lower J-hook.

Harness Rerouting for Low Birth Weight (4-10 lbs)
For infants weighing 4-10 lbs, the harness may need to be rerouted. This involves removing the head pillow and body insert, loosening the harness, unbuckling the chest clips and crotch buckle, and unfastening the harness from the metal splitter plate behind the seat. The harness is then pulled through the seat and re-threaded through the innermost slots on the seat fabric. A belt shortening clip may be used if the gap between the buckle and the baby's thigh is not within 1/2" to 1".

The integrated headrest features a no-rethread harness, allowing for easy height adjustments. Simply squeeze the blue headrest adjuster buttons and slide the headrest up or down to the desired position. The harness should be at or just below the shoulders for rear-facing, and at or just above the shoulders for forward-facing.

Correctly Placing Baby in Car Seat
Place your baby in the car seat so that their bottom is against the back and bottom of the car seat. Ensure the baby isn't wearing any bulky clothing. Place the harness straps over the shoulders, ensuring the no-twist indicator stripes are facing outwards. Clip the crotch buckle and chest clips, pulling on the harness tension adjusting strap to tighten. The harness should not allow any slack or press on the baby's skin. Conduct a pinch test at the baby's shoulders; if you can pinch the strap, tighten the harness more until you can no longer pinch it.

Canopy and Side Visors
The integrated UPF 50+ canopy is height and angle adjustable for in-car UV protection. Flip-out side visors provide additional shade protection from multiple directions. The canopy is integrated and attached on a built-in track, making it easy to adjust and remove.

For the cup holders, locate the tab under the cup holder, press it against the outer car seat wall, and pull up on the cup holder simultaneously to release it. To install, align the cup holder tab with the receptacle and press it into place, then pull up to ensure it is secure.

Crotch Buckle Adjustment
If the crotch buckle feels too tight, it may be adjustable. Remove the front portion of the car seat cover. Look under where the crotch buckle is and lift the car seat to see the bottom. Take the metal part of the buckle out of its current slot and place it in the desired slot (e.g., the first slot for more room). Reinstall the buckle and car seat cover.
