- Route Cable Housing: Route the shift cable housing along the frame to the rear derailleur. Secure the housing with cable ties or frame guides.
- Connect to Derailleur: Pass the inner shift cable through the rear derailleur's cable anchor bolt. Pull the cable taut and secure it with the anchor bolt.
- Adjust Derailleur: Perform initial rear derailleur adjustments to ensure smooth shifting across all 7 gears. This typically involves adjusting the high (H) and low (L) limit screws and the B-tension screw, followed by cable tension adjustment using the barrel adjuster.
