He served as the vice-president of the Brazilian Finance Society (2009-2011) and is the executive coordinator of the Center for Studies in Corporate Governance (CEG) at Fipecafi.

Dr. Silveira holds a Doctorate and Master's degree in Business Administration - Finance from FEA-USP, both with distinction and honors for his thesis and dissertation, which focused on corporate governance. He is a columnist for Revista Capital Aberto, contributing a monthly column dedicated to corporate governance since 2005.
